Youth Open Mic

This summer, the Alberta Togolese Association is excited to host a Youth Open Mic Night, a creative and inspiring space designed to showcase the voices, talents, and stories of our young community members.

As we prepare for this event, our focus is on building a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment where youth can express themselves freely through music, poetry, spoken word, comedy, and storytelling. This is more than a performance night—it is a platform for confidence, creativity, and connection.

Participants can look forward to:

  • Live performances by youth (music, poetry, rap, storytelling, comedy)
  • An open and supportive stage for self-expression
  • Opportunities to share personal experiences and cultural identity
  • A positive audience that uplifts and encourages every performer
  • A relaxed community atmosphere with light refreshments

This Youth Open Mic reflects our commitment to empowering the next generation. By giving young people a voice, we strengthen their confidence and help them feel seen, heard, and valued within our community.

We invite families, friends, and community members to come support our youth, celebrate their talents, and be part of an evening filled with creativity and inspiration.

An inspiring evening where youth of the Alberta Togolese Association take the stage to express themselves through music, poetry, and storytelling, celebrating creativity, confidence, and community connection.
